Stephan is currently a fellow at Harvard University exploring ways to advance the optics of augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) headsets. Prior, Stephan conducted his PhD in nanotechnology both at ETH in Zurich and MIT in Cambridge. Throughout his career, Stephan has been a frequent and invited speaker at international scientific conferences and received among others the Willi-Studer-Prize, the ETH-medal and is supported by fellowships of the ETH-Foundation, the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Hans-Eggenberger-Foundation.
