Zahra is an investor in and Financial Advisor to businesses, leveraging her background in growth equity and understanding of downstream (financial and strategic) to help companies build out their organic and inorganic growth plans. Zahra partners with companies to help them understand and evaluate their growth opportunities (organic and inorganic). She helps young companies use financial analysis and a cross-discipline framework to gauge feasibility and return of their options, as well as assists with structuring and negotiation. At 500, Zahra is responsible for portfolio management as well as sourcing (and investing in!) companies across sectors. Zahra comes to early stage investing with a background of working closely with digital media and consumer internet businesses on transactions, as well as their broader strategic goals. Over the last decade, Zahra has engaged with companies as an advisor and an investor. Zahra has worked on 35+ transactions, since she started her career at UBS, across capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. She has worked on transactions such as Spotify’s fundraisings, Supercell’s secondary financing and subsequent sale to SoftBank and Shutl’s sale to eBay. Zahra has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Finance (Corporate Finance Specialization) from London Business School.
