Assaf is an entrepreneur and tech executive. In 2013, he founded Superpedestrian, a company pioneering the decarbonization of transportation through machine learning and predictive networks. As CEO for over a decade, Assaf grew the company’s operations to 11 countries, leveraging its technologies across diverse industries, from commercial fleets to personal transportation. In 2003, he co-founded the MIT Senseable City Lab, which he co-directs today. The lab focuses on advancing the science and engineering of AI and analytics technologies to tackle the key challenges faced by cities, with particular emphasis on energy, transportation, and health.
