As a starving engineer, I have dedicated my adult life to helping starving artists use technology to further their creative visions. Much of this has shown at Burning Man over the years including Marco Cochrane’s Bliss Dance, Peter Hudson’s Charon, The Windmill Factory’s Pixel Forest, Robert Bose’s Balloon Chain, and Aaron Taylor Kuffner’s Gamelatron inside two temples. In recent years, the artists and projects that we support extend well beyond Burning Man and as such, some of our artist clientele are not as starving anymore. The Everbright wall – a giant redux of the childhood LiteBrite toy – by Alan Rory of Hero Design is a shining example of what we do. See www.everbright.io for a project that we enabled with affordable technology that scales. Next steps include a move to NYC to pursue artistic uses of VR and further work with existing and new clientele alike.
